Nothing ships against a failed batch record
Every Novis film is defined by AlphaClear specification, checked on receipt, batch-tested before dispatch, and released only against a passing record. Each roll carries a batch reference, and retained samples are held so any question can be traced back to the material that actually shipped.
The process
Five steps, in order
From defining the grade to releasing the roll. Each step exists because skipping it shows up later — on your line, not ours.
- 01
Specification
Every Novis grade is defined by AlphaClear against the end application — interlayer clarity and adhesion for laminated glass, peel strength and weathering life for protection films.
- 02
Incoming inspection
Each lot is checked against its specification on receipt: thickness, width, appearance and surface condition, before it enters stock.
- 03
Batch testing
Samples are drawn per batch and tested for the properties that matter to the process the film feeds — adhesion, haze and moisture for PVB; peel, elongation and residue for protection films.
- 04
Traceability
Every roll dispatched carries a batch reference. If a question arises on the line, the batch record and retained sample can be pulled and reviewed.
- 05
Release
Material is released for dispatch only against a passing batch record. Test data is available to buyers on request.
Certification
What we can evidence
Only certifications we hold and can produce on request appear here. Anything else stays off this page until the certificate exists.
Awaiting certificate detail
AlphaClear operates an ISO 9001 quality management system. Certificate number, issuing body and validity are pending confirmation and will be published here — an unverifiable certification claim is worth less than none.
What certification does not cover
Laminated glass standards — IS 2553, EN 14449, ANSI Z97.1 — certify the finished laminate produced on your line, not interlayer film on its own. We supply the material specification and batch data that support your certification; the conformity certificate is yours to hold.
Questions
Quality FAQs
Do you supply test data with the consignment?
Yes. Batch test data covering the properties that govern your process is supplied with each delivery, and retained samples are held against the batch reference so a question raised later can be checked against the material that actually shipped.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. For most grades we can supply a sample sufficient to run a trial on your own line, which is the only meaningful test — adhesion, peel and removal all behave differently on your substrate and under your process conditions than on a datasheet.
What happens if a batch does not perform as specified?
Quote the batch reference on the roll. We pull the batch record and retained sample, review them against the specification, and work back from there. Traceability exists precisely so this is an investigation rather than an argument.
Are your films certified to laminated glass standards?
Laminated glass standards certify the finished laminate produced on your line, not interlayer film on its own. We supply the material specification and batch test data that support your certification, and can provide third-party test reports where available.
Ask for a sample and test it on your line
A datasheet tells you what the film did in a lab. A trial on your substrate, under your process conditions, tells you what it will do for you.
