Architectural Glass

Facades, balustrades, overhead glazing and partitions.

Architectural laminated glass uses a PVB interlayer to hold fragments after breakage, block UV and damp sound. Novis supplies clear, coloured and printed PVB for facades, balustrades, overhead glazing and interior partitions, in the standard 0.38 mm to 1.52 mm thickness ladder.

Architectural glazing is where interlayer specification carries the most consequence. The glass is overhead, underfoot, or at the edge of a drop, and the interlayer is what decides whether a broken panel stays in its frame.

Beyond safety, the interlayer does the work that used to require separate products: UV protection for interiors, acoustic damping on road-facing elevations, solar control through coloured film, and design intent through printed film — all inside the laminate rather than applied to it.

Consistency across deliveries matters as much as the specification itself. A facade is assembled over months from multiple production lots, so batch data and colour matching decide whether the finished elevation reads as one surface.
